Two albums by Judas Priest. The sleeves are amazing, especially for the time they were made in. Rocka Rolla was the first album by Judas Priest, released in 1974. The one you see here is a French repress from 1983. Sin After Sin is their third from 1977, this here is one of the first presses from that year.
I’m not sure what to think about these records. To me, the music takes a bit of getting used to. If you judge the music according to their age, it’s obvious that this was something with a bigger picture back in the 1970s! I really want to like them, but I’m not sure if I ever ~really~ will.
What I do like for sure, is singer Rob Halford himself! I don’t mean his voice, I mean the person and his personality :) On Blabbermouth he says “I’m removing the stereotype, there are gay and lesbian people in all walks of life, in all different types of professions. I just happen to be a gay man who sings in a heavy metal band.” He came out in 1998. The world needs more Robs!!!
